Abstract

The project E-LIMM aims at addressing the shortage of highly skilled industrial staff in the microelectronics industry by creating high-quality training and learning courses, modules and schemes.

  • The microelectronics industry as an essential part of the ICT requires highly qualified staff for strengthening Europe in a world-wide competition.

  • This demands qualification and continuous re-qualification by training programmes for operators, technicians, engineers, freshmen, and managers.

  • The main topics are process technology, factory automation and operation, process and metrology equipment as well as environment, safety and health.

  • The training and learning material for the microelectronics skills will be prepared for integration into web-based training platforms targeting at a platform-independent structure.

With the proposed project, the development of skills and knowledge share will be considerably strengthened.
