The general objectives of the E-LIMM project are to address the shortage of highly skilled staff in the microelectronics manufacturing industry and to strengthen the European industry for microelectronics as part of the Information and Communication Technology in a world-wide competition.

Highly skilled employees with excellent knowledge of business processes and manufacturing procedures are vital to the success of any company.

To achieve these objectives, the qualification and re-qualification of the industrial staffs' skills will be improved by the development of high-quality web-based training and learning courses especially adapted for the application on the production site for microelectronics manufacturing and also tailored for different target groups.

The training and learning material will cover all important manufacturing topics like factory operation and automation, process and metrology equipment, process technology as well as environment, safety and health.
